One of my pumpkins is 187 OTT today. I noticed a spot of thick sap about the size of a pea on one edge of the blossom. Everything feels firm (no soft spots). Is this normal or do I have the beginning stages of blossom end rot?

I agree with Shannon, if it's a clear-colored sap.
