Some photos with my observations and a theory on why pollinating megas fail http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=338820

Generally I get a lot more pollen from the smallest single blooms. You'd think the bigger flowers would produce more pollen. Interesting thought about the stigmas, thanks for sharing. I even planted a cherry tomato as a pollen source for the first megas, but now I'm getting enough pollen to do exclusively big x big pollinations.

Pollinating a giant with a cherry tomato sacrilege :) I must admit I was tempted but I was able to find enough big pollen to pollinate all my megablooms
