Thanks Porkchop... not quite sure if I hold the title or not, but my 8.02 from last season was grown in a fabric grow bag. Greenthumb, wishing you the best of luck if you're gonna make a run at it. Keep us posted on your progress!
I've put my spare 8.02 plant into a 5 gallon grow bag. If anyone is interest in doing a 5 gallon challenge, I'm all in.

My 8.02 was grown in a 45 gallon fabric grow bag. You can view some of my past diary entries for more details.

Lol, a 45 gallon grow bag. That was hilarious. Lets just make it a 100. I think 10 gallons or less would be something I'd brag about

There was a guy prior to Saswampo but also in California who grew an approx. 7 lber in a large pot or grow bag. I believe he briefly had the California record but I forget his name. Just going off my memory not sure if correct.

My grow bag is an above ground pool :-) JK, but watch out I grew a gigantic tomato last year, didn't bring it to any gpc event but weighed it on the eBay scale at home and it read 13.8 oz. My PB!

Oh...funny guy, lol. Well, if you grow a pumpkin that looks good enough, I just might ask her 'Hey, Punkin', need a lift?' If not me, then that guy with the watermelon tarp will, lol. (Referencing your inclination to pick one up yourself, lol). Ahh, good times. eric g

Saswampo after you harvested your 8lber did you dump out the grow bag and inspect the root system? Curious about any observations you may had, thanks.

Greenthumb, I had grown a 7.62 in a 20 gallon grow bag and when I dumped it out, the bag was completely packed full of roots, just one huge solid rootball, had to take a shovel to it to break it up.

My tomato challenge partner back in 2023 grew a 7.4 that year in a 20 lb bag i think and had the PA state record at the time. That was Jon Bravo Johnson. He also had another 6 plus pound one as well.
