When should I cut the head off?
How long after they have made do you leave them before bringing them in? Mine has drooped from 10' down to about 6.5' from the weight and most of the leaves and back of the head is still green. Thanks

I wait until right before I leave for the contest to cut mine. They shrink very quickly once you cut them.

I am planning on entering a sunflower head into the fair here. I have to cut mine off two days before Fair. How much will it shrink in two days?

Western PA

Leave them on as long as possible. Smalltown is 100% correct, they start to shrink fast. U may loose 1/2" in two days.
