Last weekend I went out to the patch to take a look at my Tall Corn (Tehua) plants and noticed this slimy, mucous-like substance dripping from the aerial brace roots.

Just think if this characteristic could be worked into the genome of today's field corn, thereby reducing/eliminating the need for nitrogen fertilizer in big ag.
