1. Verbachtert Jos 447 kg (985,4lbs)(New Belgian Record!) 2. 385kg (848,7lbs) 3. 366.5kg (808 lbs) 4. 343kg (756lbs) 5. 339.5kg (748,5lbs)That was Paul Boonen former record holder with 423kg (932.5lbs) ... 11. 281.5kg (620.6lbs) That was me.
Mine was 38 lbs less than estimated. I guess it lost a lot of weight in the last week because it hasn't grown for a month. The primary vine had completely rotten. There were 85 pumpkins. The biggest squash was 352.5kg (777 lbs)

there is no website of the weigh off.
The winner didn't know it precisely but he said his pumpkin was only estimated around 849lbs. That is +16%.

I'm with Gordon... GO UTES!

Let me also congratulate these Belgian growers! Belgium has a great climate and location to enable giant pumpkins.
I try to grow these giants, and I also work for a company based "dually" in the US and Belgium. As such, I usually make a trip two or three times a year to Brussells.
Don't know when my next trip will be, but when I find out I'll let you know. I'd be happy to carry seeds back and forth!
I'd also like to see some genetics... and pictures. Pumpkins need lots of pictures.
Regards, Cliff
