Mikkal:
Just a correction as their is two growers with the name Pierce or Pearce.
Roger's 1054 was grown from the (727 Pearce X 1157 Werner)

I talked to Roger at the weighoff and when he said it was grown from the 727 Pearce, a bell went off in my head and I remembered you saying in a post about line breeding, wait and see what 727 can do. It wasn't a long wait! Congratulations on your seed Ernie and Roger's great pumpkin. That was a mountain of a pumpkin! Ron

Ron:
The 727 is actually the wife's seed but the cross was my idea. Also this seed while being line bred on both the male and female was actually crossed out from two line breeds.
I'm pleased with this seed, and think it will be a good one but have have done quite a bit of research and learned some more on crossing so next year a new Pearce seed will come out if everything goes right and I believe this new cross will be even better than the 727...
Just a quick note, I would have loved to make a 846 x 723 cross the year it started coming out but couldn't get the seeds. Al Eaton didn't cross his seeds by accident....
