Nice start. Plant looks happy and the weather has been cold.

Thanks guys. Yeah, hard to believe we had 1.5 inches of snow on the ground earlier this week! Doing all I can to neutralize the cold. So far so good but not out of the woods!

I just read through your diary and I am very impressed with your knowledge and effort. Similar to you, I've had a long layoff from growing giant pumpkins. 18 years. I got back into it last year and now I'm gonna hit it hard this year. It looks like I found a good diary to learn from. Good luck to you.

Very nice. Hopefully the bigger hoop will be enough! Good to have your energy back in VT as a few of us are getting a little gray and beat up.

Nice, Randy! I’ve been trying to do my research well enough to catch up to this hoppy which has progressed a lot in 13 years! That research will get me part way, but it’ll certainly be the devil in the details that teach me the real lessons as I execute, and inevitable make mistakes. Best of luck on your all-in season back!
