I was not previously aware of this risk: Cows that consume pasture plants containing broad leaf herbicides. The herbicides then pass through the digestive system of the cow (or other animal) unchanged. Then when the manure is applied to your garden, it kills your plants:

A lot of wheat and alfalfa gets sprayed with glyphosate. Ive always thought that if a person could find organic amendments it would reduce the stress on the plants and give better results. The best results I ever got were from goat manure... from an ORGANIC goat dairy. I dont feel like I get the same level of benefit from non-organic amendments.
