Well today was a good and bad day. I was outside by my patch at the right time.
If I wasn't out their when the squash vine Borir bugs flew in then It could of been worse. I could of never spotted them then it would of been too late because they
Would of infected the plants
S already. Luckily I had some very strong bug killer stuff. I sprayed the stuff onto the leaves and on the bottom of the leave too. I am almost Guaranteed they won't infect my plants because I put the bug killer stuff on them. Today was a good and bad day. Good because I spotted them at the right time and bad because I know they are here now. I'm just happy that they most likely won't infect my plants or come close to them.

Things are getting frustrating today. Today turned out to be a big blow. Yesterday I lost a secondary then today I lost another one due to a squash vine larva worm inside the vine was totally destroyed. Then! after the pumpkin on the main vine there was damage on the vine due to a SQUASH VINE worm. We had to make a decision. We could cut the vine off or we could keep the vine on and inject liquid seven to kill the worm. We made the decision to take it off because we though the worm was in there and if we kept it on the liquid seven may of not even killed the worm. We took the vine off and looked for the worm. No signs anywhere! so is even more frustrating because we could of kept the main vine on because there was no larva worm in there but we dident know. But we took it off. In total I lost about 6 secondary's that where on the main vine and other secondary's that just had to be pulled from serious splitting that was unknown what caused it. It could of been a squash vine larva warm but I don't think that is what caused it. It was just a cracked secondary. So 2 vines where destroyed by those damn squash vine larva worms . The main and 1 secondary'. the rest of the secondary's where on the main past the pumpkin where the larva destroyed the vine so those has to come off too then the secondary that was split. Today was he worst day yet. And this all happened on 1 plant with the big pumpkin on it.

So yesterday I went over to woody's patch everything looked great a nice cloudy warm day then Today was one of the worst days I experienced. I am not joking about this. I went over to woody's patch today then I recognized something that was not right. Woody then told me. I lost my big pumpkin today. When I heard that come out of his mouth I was so disappointed! I just could not believe it! He then brought his pumpkin to a scale estimated around 1985. All his pumpkins that he has grown these years have all gone heavy and he was going to bring it to the tops field fair September 30th he still had a lot of time to get to at least 2,130 plus all his pumpkins that he grown over these incredible years have gone heavy so he possibly could have had a world record. This all sucks I was looking to see that big a** pumpkin at the fair. I'm disappointed and he is too. I wish him good luck with his other pumpkin that he has. Today sucked.
*he gave me permission to tell everyone this*

Pumpkin update. So today I was going to get all the seeds out of the two pumpkins. One pumpkin was good one was bad. If you look inside you will notice this soup like stuff inside. On the side of the pumpkin it got cut up about 2 weeks ago. That is what caused the soupy stuff inside. Well this one will not be carved. Te cut from 2 weeks ago went all the way in so that is what caused it

It's amazing how when you get a pumpkin that's soupy inside and how you only get around 30 seeds. That happend to me and I don't know where the other seeds went maybe they drowned in the soup. The smell is not bad at this point but it may get worse. I'm carving the one on the right tonight. The one on the left covered is the soupy one. I'm suppose to be cold this week and this is the only weekend I can carve them with relatives. I'm going to try to wait out the soupy one until Halloween. If it stays good until Halloween I will be happy because then I will have a pumpkin that's carved and one that's not. I was going to carve both but I can't it will then rot fast and smell worse. Hi cut both open because I was gonn carve carve two of them but I can't. I'm a little dissapointed on the seed count on the bad pumpkin. I'm very happy with the seed count on the good one I got like 400 seeds out.

This is my setup. I put a germinating mat on the bottom of the cooler. I then put the seeds that where sprouting in some pots on the heater. I did not have an old window so I used this old fishtank to put on top and it's working. I set the temp at 84 so every time it goes above 84 the germination pad will shit off. Every time it goes below it will turn back on. The temp on the screen on the right says. 16. It's not really at 16 it just screws up when I take a pic I don't know why but everything is working

For the past 5 days I've been in advanced manufacturing at school. Every week I do a shop that I choose. We swap 1 week of academics then a shop that I choose. So academics every other week. Everyone chooses 8 shops. The teacher has been out 3 days already and The entire class was working on a project. All we've been doing is going on our iPads. Today is the last day and he is out. I could of been working on my garden the past 3 days lol. It's sucks but what can u do about it.

I think they messed up on potassium. I don't think it should be at zero for pumpkins but I don't know. I have it at 248, on a different sheet of paper it says it should be anywhere from 100 to 160

I found this big light, it gets very hot like VERY VERY hot! I don't think I am going to use it because it just gets too hot, it would be a great light for germinating seeds but I'm not sure, the temp 90! And that's way to high, I'm going to shut it off because it's way too dangerous even if I put it father away from the cooler it will still go up to 90, too dangerous of a light

I'm worried because I had bugs flying around and they may be the issue, I'm worried all my other plants have major damage please email me for any advice
